Privacy Policy: How the GEMAC Archive Handles Data

An archive that asks for trust should explain itself plainly.

This policy describes what information the Golden Eagle Martial Arts Resource Center (GEMAC) collects through this website and what happens to it. It was last reviewed in September 2026.

What the website collects

The website is static. It stores no personal data in databases, sets no advertising cookies, and runs no trackers. Pages are served as files from Cloudflare's network; Cloudflare processes standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and performance, under its own privacy policy. The archive does not sell, rent, or trade any request data.

Email correspondence

Messages sent to the archive are read by the archive desk and kept only as long as they remain useful to the record: a correction, for example, is preserved with the page it improved. Senders who prefer that their name not appear in a published correction may say so, and the record will note "a correspondent" instead.

Donated materials

Donated documents and photographs are catalogued with a credit line unless the donor asks otherwise. Personal information found inside donated historical materials (addresses, phone numbers in old newsletters, for instance) is not republished beyond what historical quotation requires.

Children

The website publishes historical and instructional material for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version replaces this page with a new review date. Questions about privacy may be sent toarchive@goldeneaglemac.com.
